The Timbavati Foundation identified an urgent need for a reliable and adequate supply of water at the Nourish Eco-Village situated on the Orpen road. This centre, amongst other good causes, cares for young children left without parents due to AIDS related deaths, as well as entrepreneurs from the local community who sell their goods to people visiting the centre.

The Timbavati Foundation had a borehole sunk, borehole pump and water reticulation piping installed, as well as supplying an above ground water tank. Much of the physical work was done by the Timbavati Foundation staff themselves.
