Harmonizing Wildlife and Communities
In pursuit of a harmonious coexistence, we recognize the importance of an integrated landscape where both wildlife areas and communities mutually thrive. The Timbavati Foundation is dedicated to forging connections between our wildlife communities and conservation efforts, with a steadfast commitment to creating sustainability and symbiosis for the well-being of all living beings.
The Timbavati Foundation is the community development arm of the Timbavati Private Nature Reserve, which connects to 15 neighbouring communities that are supported through the four strong holding pillars of Quality Education, Environment & Conservation Awareness, Social Upliftment and Healthcare.

The Timbavati Foundation is currently affiliated with 56 local schools & 8 focus schools that are exposed to high-quality environmental education. The Timbavati Foundation has also established its very own Environmental School that aims to promote environmental and conservation awareness, as well as giving access to the wildlife economy through in-field experiences and financial assistance for bursaries for further training in conservation and hospitality. When learners are not at the school, they are connected in a greater environmental education outreach program that sparks the passion and love for conservation.
